Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty / National Scenic Area

Introduction

The National Association for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the place to go for everything about AONBs in England and Wales.

See also this Press Release about the recent (July 2020) expansion of Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB.

The equivalent in Scotland is National Scenic Area. There's a good overview of these on Wikipedia.

They already form a backdrop in OpenStreetMap.
